As a lecturer in Intercultural management I've found that John's workshops on cross cultural communication are crucial in teaching the subtle aspects of establishing contact with people from other ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Their emphasis on body language across and amongst cultures provides a valuable tool in an embodied type of education and learning. In my experience, this workshop allows the 'body' to understand the theoretical aspects involved in my module. The workshops are supported by a strong theoretical framework, yet, they keep a fresh, dynamic and pragmatic approach. Students at the post graduate and undergraduate level have said that the workshops are truly inspiring

John Turner is an excellent lecturer, knowledgeable in his subject matter and skilled at dealing with the demands of a large group of people. He has extensive experience and is able to use it creatively to fit the requirements of a brief. John's guidance certainly made a positive impact and I would not hesitate to work with him again.

John has run Workshops at our Student Representative Conferences for the past four years. I keep inviting him back because the Student Reps enjoy his sessions so very much - as their broad grins in the session photos testify - and give them such good ratings on their evaluation forms. We have a wide range of abilities attending together, from Entry Level to A level, and John manages to include, involve and appeal to them all.

John’s workshops for women on “Personal Expression and Body Language” and “Awareness and Control of the Presentation Space” were a huge success amongst our members. They greatly enjoyed and benefited both from John’s experience and his encouraging way of working. His knowledge of world theatre – such as Japanese Noh drama and Balinese story theatre – brought a unique dimension to the workshops which were very well received, and he was a valued member of our Visiting Lecturer team at the Centre for Women’s Enterprise.
